CAT GALLERY - UPDATE HERE
Baby is a black female with an estimated birthdate of 9/25/13 so she’s not a baby in age but she’s small like a baby weighing between 7 and 8 lbs. She was in a home when the owner died and other family members couldn’t care for her. When she came into StreetCats we discovered that she had irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which probably accounted for her very small size and weight. She has now been treated for it and will continue to be and she is doing much better. She gets a Prednisolone soft chew (tuna flavored) in some Fancy Feast tuna wet food every morning and she loves it. She also has Royal Canin GastroIntestinal dry food mixed with Hills Science Diet food and then gets some more FF tuna wet food in the afternoon. She is doing great and has gained weight since we found a good regimen that works for her along with her soft chew. She is a love and she loves to sit on laps and be petted. She does not care for other cats and would be best as the only cat in an adult home.
Belle is a sleek black female. Her estimated birthdate is 10/10/13. She was in a home with a growing family and too many pets. She is shy and it may take her a while to adjust to her new environment but she is very happy to have you pet her while she is hanging out and watching what is going on. She was used to snuggling with her mom and her sisters so this is a big change for her. She does come out of her hidey hole, especially for canned food, and she loves to be petted. She has shorter legs (but she’s not a munchkin) and she is a gorgeous sweetheart.
Monkey is a very round tortie female who might be a little shy at first. Her estimated birthdate is 4/13/16. Adopted 8/11/18 and returned on 9/9/19 because the young man who adopted her had a life change and couldn’t keep her, so his mother took her, but mom’s cat chased her around and it wasn’t a good situation for her. She will do best as a single cat in a home but is OK with dogs (were a lab mix & a chihuahua mix). She is independent, enjoys being petted, but probably not a lap cat, and may have “tortitude.”
Tiger is a dark red tabby with an estimated birthdate of 3/13/13. He is shy initially but then he can be very affectionate after he trusts you. Originally adopted in 2016 (after living on the streets), but his owner died and he was returned 11/3/17. He was then adopted on 11/20/17 but returned on 9/13/19 because his owner could no longer care for him. Both of his previous owners have been seniors. He has not been around young children or dogs that we know of. This special boy needs a home he can count on for the rest of his life.
Casper is a very handsome all white male with gold eyes. His estimated birthdate is 10/13/14 and he came into StreetCats on 10/3/19. He is very loving, seeks affection, is sweet and calm and very tolerant of other cats. He was found stuck behind propane tanks at the 21st & Yale Reasor’s and has been in a temporary home until a place could be found for him to go to find a forever home. His vaccinations were done by TSPCA in August 2019. He only weighs 9 lbs. 10 oz. so he’s long and fairly thin. He came in with Hemingway from his temporary home but they are not bonded and tend to ignore each other.
Mitty is a cute grey and white female with an estimated birthdate of 6/1/18. She is very sweet and loves to be a lap cat and to be petted – she loves people. She’s been non-aggressive towards other cats. The person who originally rescued her thinks she’d do OK with other cats and maybe dogs (hasn’t been around them) and she hasn’t been around children.
