CAT GALLERY - UPDATE HERE
Mary is a very striking black and white tuxedo with an estimated birthdate of 12/3/08. She’s been in a single home since being rescued as a kitten but her owner married someone with an overly aggressive dog and they feared he would hurt Mary. Her former owner says she is sweet and loving and has gotten along with some dogs in the past. She also likes to play and be petted but does not always like to be held.
Yadi is a black and white male about medium size. He was named for a St. Louis Cardinal baseball catcher. He came into StreetCats on 4/10/17 so he’s getting adjusted to being around so many other cats. He was rescued by a Feline Specialties vet tech when his family moved off and left him outside alone. He’s never been around other cats nor dogs to the best of our knowledge. He is very social and sweet and he loves to head butt people. He is a really nice kitty.
My name is Beamer. I’m an orange male tabby, and you might think I look a bit familiar – I have been in StreetCats twice before. I started out as a young man having been born in March 2009 but I was returned thanks to my owners remembering that StreetCats takes back their previously adopted cats if a family situation changes. The volunteers don’t want any of their adopted cats to ever end up on the streets again, and I am so happy for this – I get to see my human friends again AND find a new home! I have an interesting habit you might find endearing. Have you ever heard of wool sucking? It’s a strange term, but that’s what I do! This means I have a tendency to occasionally suckle on things like clothes and blankets. My volunteer friends at StreetCats seem to think this is really sweet and cute, I hope you do too! I am front declawed, very easy-going, a lap kitty and hugger, and enjoy play time and social time especially with people but not so much with female cats BUT I'm loving playing with Boris in StreetCats. With the proper introduction, I should be good with a cat-loving dog. If you are looking for a lap kitty that loves attention and would play with me when you get tired of me being on your lap, then come and check me out. I really am a sweet dude that loves people.
Marlo is a ticked brown tabby with an estimate birthdate of 7/23/12. Marlo was originally adopted 7/2016 and she was returned on 6/2017 because she was having problems in her home. She has been an inside only kitty and prefers to be the only pet although she might get along with a cat friendly dog. In her first home she was sweet and affectionate and loved to play with toys, balls, etc. and sleep in closets. Tummy rubs are a favorite and she’s a lap kitty.
Victoria is a beautiful medium haired brown patch tabby with white whose estimated birthdate is 1/20/13. She was adopted in 2014 and returned on 6/29/17 because she was not getting along with another kitty in her home. She had been segregated but was on a screened-in porch which wasn’t adequate housing. She is a small female and should be the only pet in the home. She needs someone to have patience with her until she feels safe and cared for. She loves to play one on one so her owner should want to spend time with her and she will soon be Queen Victoria in her forever home.
Catanova is a white male with a light black smudge on his head. He is front declawed and his estimated birthdate is 6/20/2011. His owner had to give him up because her doctor said he was causing her asthma problems but she didn’t want to. He was rescued by her in 2011 and when she started feeding him as a kitten and in 2015 he became an inside only kitty. He is somewhat scared in StreetCats (came in 7/25/17) but his owner said he is kind, affectionate, and playful.
Spanky is a smaller size black male with an estimated birthdate of 4/18/15. He is still a little nervous being in StreetCats but it hasn’t been very long. He was adopted in 2016 with his sister Sparkle butreturned on 7/25/17 because his owner went to Europe and his return became indefinite. The man they stayed with had two large dogs and the cats and dogs got along great but he couldn’t continue to keep them. Initially Spanky and Sparkle were found in a flower pot at Walmart when they were three weeks old. It hasn’t been determined at this time if they can be adopted separately or need to be adopted together.

Eddie is a very handsome seal bi-color Siamese male with a birthdate of 5/5/13. He is new in StreetCats but his former owner says he is very intelligent, very affectionate, loves to play and is very athletic. He is used to living with another kitty and seems receptive to all the cats in StreetCats. He has never been around children or dogs. He is still a little shy in StreetCats but he’s coming out of the office where he’s been and looking things over. He’ll be a very special kitty for someone and a wonderful companion for another cat.
