Ava is a brown tabby with four white paws and an estimated birthdate is 1/1/2021.  Her owner died and she was left alone, so she’s been nervous in StreetCats.  She has been an indoor cat and well taken care of.  We had her in our isolation room initially and she started getting more outgoing and friendly after a week, but when we moved her in to one of our kitty rooms, she has become nervous and scared again – lots of changes in a short period of time.  She is a very pretty cat and she’ll do great in a stable home of her own after having time to adjust.

She is very sweet and friendly, but other cats seem to make her nervous.  She prefers Purina EN dry food and likes creamy seafood wet food.  Adopted 8/2021 and returned 9/2022 due to peeing outside of litter box but she wasn’t on medicine consistently.  Owner loved her but decided to return her.  She uses a “regular” litter box that has clay litter in it, but she occasionally will pee on a puppy pad.  She is on Fluoxetine to reduce stress and hopefully keep her from peeing in places other than the litter box.  Fluoxetine is a gel that goes on the hairless area of an ear flap – switch ear flaps daily.  This medication is in a transdermal gel applicator and is easy to give.  The cost of this medicine is $75.34 for three pens on an auto ship for every 12 weeks.  This medicine does have to be set up by her vet and Feline Specialties does this for her now.  She would love to have a home of her own as the only pet in the home.

Cleo is a calico with an estimated birthdate of 6/5/2023.  She has been around children, other cats, and dogs and has done well with them all.  She also loves adults.  She was rescued by someone just prior to a snowstorm but the woman was unable to keep her due to having too many animals of her own.  She said Cleo is super loving but may be a bit sassy upon occasion.  She loves to play and she’s never swiped at anyone.  She always seems to like food and she’s about 12 lbs. now.

Mr. Charlie is a brown tabby with an estimated birth date of 9/19/2019.  His former owner gave him up because she herself is older and she wanted to be sure he was at a good age to find a new forever home.  He’s been with this older woman for the past 4 years and has not been around children, dogs, or other cats but he might get along with other cats.  He is a quiet very laidback cat initially in StreetCats, but he loves attention and really wants to be loved.  His owner said he is active and loves to play.  He is a very sweet cat.
